Flush bottom valves are fitted at the bottom of the tanks and vessels. It is used to empty, drain out the liquid, slurry or powder from the tanks or vessel fitted above it. When the tank or vessel generate corrosive liquid or slurry, flush bottom valves fitted should be lined with corrosion resistance lining of PTFE / FEP / PFA / PVDF. Lining the valves with suitable fluorocarbons protects the valves from any damage from corrosive media to be handled and enhance the life of it. And thus save a huge amount of money as well cost, and labor associated with the regular maintenance and replacement occurs in the un-lined valve and fittings.
The material selection for fluorocarbons lining of valves will depend on working conditions like chemical and mechanical characteristics of the fluid flowing inside the pipe, valves, temperature, etc. ICON offers PTFE / FEP / PFA / PVDF lined flush bottom valves.
Rapid wear and tear of the valves is the most challenging task while operating highly corrosive chemical processes. Valves with suitable polymer lining will safeguard the valves and extend the life of it while working in a corrosive environment.
Lined Y Type bottom valves are most suitable for free-flowing liquids, slurries, semi-viscous products, resins, etc.
Unique Features of Lined Y Type Flush Bottom Valve
- Lining offered PTFE / FEP / PFA / PVDF.
- The thickness of the lining is between 3.5 to 6 mm.
- Virgin FEP, PFA to withstand temperature from -20 C to +240C.
- The lining resins from renowned manufacturers like DuPont, Daikin, GFC.
- No Cavity design for Zero liquid holds up in reactor.
- Anti- Static lining available on request.
- Tested as per API 958
- Valve outer body offered in In Stainless Steel 316 and mirror polished.
- Control option- Manual as well as Automatic Control.
- Type of Automatic Control- Pneumatic, Hydraulic or Electrical
- Cylinder Or Diaphragm operated
- Select from- Long seat/Long hub or Short seat/Short hub
- Valve Disc Movement- Disc rising into the valve or Disc Lowering into the valve.
